Perth, Western Australia is home to some of the deadliest spiders in the world making them one of the most feared and disliked pests. Although not all species of spider are dangerous some breeds can be a serious risk to your home and family. Some common breeds that we deal with on a regular basis are the red back, the funnel web and the white tail spider.

Spiders can be divided into two groups – crawling / hunting spiders and webbing spiders. Webbing spiders are more easily removed then crawling spiders. Crawling spiders hunt there prey from area to area so these breeds may not come in contact with the pesticide.
To avoid a spider infestation regular cleaning is the most practical method. This includes both indoor and outdoor cleaning, around porches, garages and storage areas. Always take care when working in the garden and make sure window screens and doors are sealed so that spiders cannot enter the home. It is also a good idea to check clothing and bedding before use and always inspect shoes that have not been used in a while.
